This Egypt travel guide brings together my stories and experiences from a country whose history most of us have learned about since childhood. We admired its pyramids, pharaohs, and monuments that have survived for thousands of years. When the Grand Egyptian Museum opened, I decided it was finally time to visit – and I did not regret it. I am already looking forward to returning.
Egypt is a vast country, but most of its population lives close to the Nile and in the Nile Delta. As fascinating as the pyramids are, they are not the only reason to visit. There is also the Red Sea coast, sandy beaches, sunny weather, and vast deserts best known by local communities, including the Bedouins, Ababda, and Bisharin people.
