Hotels are a good choice if you value comfort, privacy and convenience.
Apartments and vacation rentals work especially well for families, groups and longer stays. Having a kitchen can also help reduce food expenses.
Guesthouses and homestays often feel more personal and are a good way to experience local hospitality.

Rental Cars
Even though I have a driving licence, somehow, I don´t drive. But I know a rental car can be useful when public transportation is limited or when you want to explore places outside the main cities. So I would use this opportunity to say thank you to all my friends for driving me trough the years.
Things to Do
I don’t always book a tour. I like exploring spontaneously and at my own pace. I also love reading about the legends and stories of the places I visit—who would have guessed?
However, I find tours very practical for day trips, especially in places without good transportation or when visiting a culture that is unfamiliar to me.
